Because both players can take each other’s tiles through those same pair and cycle connections, the board state can shift quickly even when the rules stay minimal. The strongest play comes from reading patterns before they fully form. Immediate tile claims can help, but the more interesting decisions come from judging when a pair is enough and when a cycle is worth building toward. A promising cycle may pressure the opponent, yet poor timing can leave valuable tiles exposed to counter-capture. That gives each turn a defensive layer as well as an offensive one. Expert tip: look for cycle threats two moves ahead instead of taking every available tile right away. Setting up future captures can create stronger pressure while reducing the chance that the opponent flips the position back.
