Nightfall Horde builds its tension around endless zombie waves pressing in from the top and both sides of the screen. Movement, aiming, and shooting are handled with the mouse, making steady cursor control central to staying alive as the outbreak closes in. The goal is direct: survive, clear levels, collect shotgun power-ups, defeat mutant bosses, and push for a higher score as the difficulty increases. The shotgun power-ups give the action a simple but important timing choice, since using one can help thin a dangerous crowd before it overwhelms the available space. Holding back too long may let the horde build, while spending a power-up against a tougher threat can create room to recover. Target priority matters throughout. Zombies arriving from the sides can quickly reduce safe movement options, while enemies from the top keep forward pressure on the screen.
