Poppy Playtime Survival

Set in a closed toy factory after the reported disappearance of the player character’s former coworkers, Poppy Playtime Survival builds horror through exploration, locked rooms, and clues hidden around the building. The factory is described as a large location with rooms, halls, and vents, so progress depends on reading the environment rather than simply moving forward. Green cassettes and yellow tape can be found and watched on TVs and DVD players in the rooms, giving background information and teaching necessary controls. The game is separated into chapters, with quests becoming more difficult toward the end. The core tool is a wearable grabber with two extendable hands, used to reach items placed higher up and press palm-shaped buttons that open certain doors. Early objectives include solving a door code by looking around for colorful toys, which sets a pattern of clue-based puzzle solving. Tension comes from a huge blue soft toy with long arms and legs and a red smile, first encountered in the second location before it begins chasing the player through the factory. The best play is careful and methodical: search each room for tapes, clues, keys, and mechanisms before pushing deeper into the building.
