Daylight changes the risk profile because humans shoot with higher accuracy, while night makes them weaker and less aggressive. The strongest tension comes from timing attacks around those environmental shifts. Close contact instantly turns survivors into zombie allies, so aggressive movement can snowball quickly, but humans still roam, panic, and fight back intelligently. That behavior keeps each match from feeling static, especially when survivors respond rather than simply waiting to be surrounded. Meteor events add a second layer of planning. When meteors fall, collecting them unlocks mutations that boost zombie speed and strength, giving the horde more ways to pressure armed humans. The result is a compact real-time strategy loop built around infection spread, horde preservation, and choosing the right moment to overwhelm resistance.
