Gang Brawlers keeps its focus on dangerous street fighting, with action built around battling enemies, destroying boxes, and picking up items found on the ground. The setup is direct: clear threats on the streets while staying alert for coins, because money collected during play can be spent in the store to make characters more powerful. That gives the game a simple progression hook without shifting attention away from moment-to-moment brawling. The two-player options are the most concrete expansion of the formula. Players can take on the street adventure with a friend, or switch to a 2P fighting mode and face that friend directly. That split between cooperative play and versus play gives the same character-growth system different uses: upgrades can support shared progress, but they also matter when friends turn on each other. The best approach is to treat boxes, dropped items, and coins as part of the fight rather than background clutter, since the source of extra power is tied to what is collected during each street encounter.
