Set in the claustrophobic passages of Moscow’s old Metro and depot territory, Subway Clash 2 frames its firefights around a GRU Special Forces mission against the “Witnesses of the Illyich,” a sect led by Bonch-Bruyevich. The concrete objective is to clear the deadly dungeons, eliminate criminal elements, and stop a planned radiation attack on Moscow. That premise gives the shooter a narrower focus than a simple arena brawl: forward movement matters, but so does checking each corridor before committing. The level design leans on tight tunnels, shadowed alcoves, nooks, and side passages, with the publisher text noting that some areas conceal hiding places and surprises. Weapon variety changes as the mission advances, since new weapons can be picked up along the way, while the core play remains built around precise aim, careful movement, and awareness of ambush routes. Rushing through the old Metro tends to make the maze feel more dangerous; methodical clearing, control of chokepoints, and attention to vertical angles make the hostile space easier to read.
