Hookcube

Hookcube is a grappling game reduced to one verb: click a black box to hook it, swing on the line, release, and hook the next one before gravity wins. Momentum carries between swings, so the levels play like pendulum puzzles — the fastest route through is rarely the straightest one. Two hazards structure the difficulty: spikes end the run on contact, and some platforms start falling the moment your line touches them, which forces you to plan the next anchor before you leave the current one. Later levels chain both together over pits, and the margin for a lazy release gets thin. Runs are seconds long with instant restarts, which puts it firmly in the one-more-try category. Mouse or trackpad both work since timing matters more than pointer precision — a rare trait for this genre.
